Are you ready for the “Zmörger”? This breakfast burger will put a grin on your face and start your day with an explosion of delicious flavors! With juicy vegan patties, crispy smoked tofu and a generous helping of our legendary Chipeño sauce, this burger will make your taste buds dance. Ingredients for the breakfast burger:

  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 vegan breakfast patties (e.g. made from tofu or seitan)
  • 4 slices of vegan cheese
  • 4 slices of smoked tofu or vegan bacon alternative
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 4 tablespoons chipeño sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

This is how you prepare the Zmörger:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Fry the vegan breakfast patties and the smoked tofu or bacon alternatives in the pan until they are golden brown and crispy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Meanwhile, cut the burger buns in half and toast them lightly in a toaster or in a pan without oil.
  4. Once the buns are toasted, place a slice of vegan cheese on the bottom half of each bun.
  5. Then place a pattie on top of the cheese, followed by a slice of smoked tofu or vegan bacon alternative.
  6. Place a tomato slice and a lettuce leaf on top of the smoked tofu or bacon alternative.
  7. Spread a tablespoon of chipeño sauce on the top half of each burger bun.
  8. Place the top bun halves on the burgers to seal.
